Nine months old today! I never see him look like his sister but here he sure does.
I took a photo of these lilies at the dunk's drive thru because I like them and want them at my new house. I do this a lot, take random photos of things I like.
Closed on the land! And big boy's half birthday, so we celebrated in high style - bbq. We went to the closest non-pizza restaurant to the land, which is about 2 towns away. It's pretty remote where we are.
The girl was concentrating on opening shelled peanuts. Very proud of herself.
My boy feeding Lydia the elephant an ice cream cone filled with grain. We had an absolute blast at the zoo. I seriously have the best kids ever.
She was absolutely giddy. She had found this old wig and was sticking it all over Grandma's garden.
Sleeping off the beach. Do you not want to just nibble that belly button?
Not much to say here, other than the fact that I'm not sure how long this will last on the internetz. Somebody eventually might figure out what it is, and OMG a baby is eating.
Not a great shot, but all of the caterpillars decided today was the day to build their homes.
Cousins! They only see each other 3 times a year but when they do, they just pick right back up again.
We got a new truck. So of course we all loaded up and went to get ice cream. Funny enough, we got there and realized we only had $4.83 to our names. We split two kiddie sizes (and got two cones and recreated eensy weensy tiny cones for the kids) but it all worked out. Maybe we're just teaching portion control. ;o)
A new view of "our" marsh. I found this great walking loop. You can't see in this photo, but they've added those big black greenhead boxes. Good that they're being proactive, but scary that they needed to. I'm glad we get a nice breeze.
The girl was putting on a puppet show. The big boy was completely captivated. It was awesome.
After a long day, we need to unwind by watching videos of pranks on YouTube. We're nothing if not great parents.
Getting ready for her dress rehearsal. Before I did makeup and costume, in just her messed up tights and teeny tiny bun (YOU try to get a four year old's bob into a bun!! YOU DO IT!).
It was the girly's last day of preschool. It was wonderful. Some genius brought in cupcakes with bright red frosting. The kids all looked like they had on clown lipstick. But they loved it.
Perfect weather for first grade field day. The red team was on fire. ;o)
Recently I decided to let the kids use up all of my random art supplies (well, except for the 84 exacto blades I have from model making days). Today it was some tubes of watercolor paint. I stick the kids on the porch among the recycling and camping supplies.
This is the deck where Moon hangs out a lot. See back there on the rock? Mr. Chuck suns there just to torment her, I swear.
My boys playing lacrosse catch, my girl in a tidepool. Such a strange foggy but hot day.
While driving around recently, we saw this siding. And really dig it. So I took this photo, so that we could research when we got home. And found it (the vertical ribs were the tell-tale sign) - it's HardieShingle, which is made from concrete. I think we've found our siding.
I joined the first graders for a tidepooling trip. We caught crabs and things.
Although we live at the beach, we really love this one, which is about 6 minutes away. So the other night we went there after dinner. The baby was asleep so everyone else walked out onto the jetty.
