Today my son went to kindergarten. How on earth are either of us old enough for this?

It went really well. This first day, you just meet the teachers, see the classroom, fill out forms. I filled out forms, he played with legos. That's right, there's an entire lego table there. He'll be just fine. The teacher was really cool about me worrying about bus riding (they ride for over 30 minutes with kids up to fifth grade), and I know it's going to be great. He only had a moment or two of uncertainty. We'll see when I have to leave him there.

He will love it and it'll be "routine" before you know it :o) Well, as long as yours doesn't come home twice the first week with notes about "playing in the restroom" and "kicking their neighbor"... sigh.

oh my goodness! how could that have happened? I remember reading your birth announcement on the old board when I was traveling for the holidays and now the big guy is in school.

I'm wishing G wonderful success in school, and a smooth adjustment period.

We are headed to the same preschool for year 2, being on the other side of the age cut-off. We don't start for another week, though. C is dying to go to school. I think she's a bit sick of me. ;)
